Welcome.

My name is Arlette and I am an experienced and fully qualified counsellor and integrative psychotherapist working in private practice at premises located in both Brentwood and Hornchurch.   I also work within a range of settings that includes Charitable and Educational organisations, where I deal with an extensive spectrum of issues.

I know from my own personal experience of depression and anxiety that the daily challenges of life can be difficult and distressing. It's easy to feel stuck or overwhelmed by our circumstances. Whilst family and friends can be a great source of support it’s not always easy to confide in those closest to you. At times like these, talking to someone who is not personally involved can make a big difference.

I have experience working with the following issues:

  • Abuse
  • Anxiety
  • Anger Management
  • Attachment Trauma
  • Bereavement
  • Cancer
  • Dementia
  • Depression
  • Family Issues
  • Life Issues
  • Panic Attacks
  • Relationship Issues
  • Self Esteem
  • Self Harm
  • Shame
  • Stress
  • Trauma

These services are available to adolescents and adults, on both short and long term basis.

You can bring whatever is on your mind to the session – anxieties, fears, feelings, thoughts, hopes, memories, dreams, fantasies and sensations.

With this in mind, I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to examine the issues that may be concerning you and which may be having an adverse impact on the quality of your life. I work on the assumption that feeling fully supported within therapy and working at a pace that feels comfortable for you, forms the basis of our working relationship together.

I will be happy to answer any questions you have about the process or about the way I work and you can get a sense of what it feels like to talk to me.
