It’s always a privilege to watch a client empower them self and make changes to their life. Be that, taking a flight after years of being paralysed by fear, making a presentation at work when previously they’ve left jobs when this became a requirement, or discovering a new way to respond to emotional triggers, enabling them to vastly improve their relationships with those around them.
I’m not only a practitioner, by a client. Cognitive Hypnotherapy helped me changed my life. It allowed me to make lasting change and live a life I love. I am so passionate about what I do because I’ve experienced the benefits myself.
How I work
I take the time to get to know you so that your experience is tailored entirely to you. I offer an initial 20-minute free consultation to see if I’m the right therapist for you. This is followed by a 90-minute history take during which I get to know more about you and your story. We then work together to take from you where you are in life to where you want to be. This journey looks different for everyone, but I’ll be there to guide you through it every step of the way.
What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy It is a short term, solution focused talking therapy. It has its origins in hypnotherapy but utilises a range of evidence of based techniques from different therapeutic disciplines (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), positive psychology and Gestalt). It seeks to work out how your unconscious mind is playing a part in the creation of your issue. It is a modern approach to therapy which, by uncovering and challenging, often life-long, subconscious beliefs and programming, equips you with the knowledge and tools you need to enable you to make lasting change.
